In the14th century Japan, The Samurai named Masashige Kusunoki (1294 - 1336 ) asked a Zen monk just before he was going to battle, ‘’ How can I set my mind when my life is in danger in a battle? ’’ The Zen monk answered, ‘’ Cut off your mind from the future and the past, Don’t think about what is going to happen or what has happened. Just focus on what you are doing from moment to moment, then your sword will get unbelievable power from the universe.’’
He did what the monk told him, and won the battle, he became a famous Samurai afterwards.
Don’t think, and worry too much about something that has already happened that you can’t change. Don’t regret the past. And Don’t worry about things that haven’t even happened yet. Don’t wast your energy anticipating. Most of the things you worry about will never happen.
If you just focus on what you are doing in the moment, you will achieve more than you ever would have imagined.
